Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University

Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University of Maharashtra is unique in nature and is entirely different from all the existing Sanskrit Universities in academic nature.The University was established on 18th September 1997. The place Ramtek, which is a township in Nagpur district, was selected because it is connected to the name of great poet of the world Kavikulaguru Kalidas.

The other Sanskrit Universities cater for traditional learning in Sanskrit like Veda, Vedanta, Vyakarana, Nyaya, Mimamsa Dharmashastra and Sahitya etc. Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University has innovative academic programme and syllabus having modern subjects associated with traditional Sanskrit. On one hand, the courses emphasise on modernity and on the other hand they strive to preserve traditionality. All the courses of K.K. Sanskrit University are consultancy-oriented. The University has special emphasis on Science and Technology in ancient India as preserved in the Sanskrit texts.
